How do you know this simple herb will work?
To start with "Wormwood" has been successfully used in China for many centuries,
there is documentation on its use going back 1,600 years. It is now known that the Communist troops
in Vietnam drank the wormwood tea to give them protection against Malaria that the American troops
did not have. It has been used so successfully, that in many regions of Asia, Malaria is no longer
a threat. The best "pill' the pharmaceutical companies have for the treatment of Malaria is called
Coartem. It is made from artemisia, an extract of Wormwood. There is overwhelming proof that it works. See "Proof".
How can you be sure that you this herb can be grown in Africa?
Thousands of acres of Wormwood is being grown in Ethiopia, Tanzania and Uganda right now by
the pharmaceutical industry. The leaves are gathered, an essential oil extracted, and patented
compound made, and sold to African at about $8 per dose plus $50 in medical fees.
We plan low cost irrigation in the fields and faith based distribution for maximum efficiency.
Agricultural "microbes" will be utilized to significantly enhance production without fertilizers.
Our simplified approach will utilize the entire plant, be dried into a tea, and distributed free
to the poor. It will utilize all 40 of the natural nutrients, not just one, and be far more
effective than the chemical compound.
Our demonstration farms to be initiated in this month well silence the nay sayers.
Before the end of 2008 we will have a successful harvest, will have cured hundreds of thousands
of Malaria victims, and established its sustainability in three diverse African communities.
Why the urgency?
In your mind, I invite you to look into the faces of the parents of the
3,000 children, who died today (as everyday), and tell them:
"There was no need to hurry."
Plus, there is the cost in billions of dollars in lost econmoy as a result of the 300 million
that are acutely ill and cannot work. There is a wave from this destruction that effects virtual everyone on
the face of the earth.
Why use Christian organizations for distribution?
As an evangelist and missionary, the work that I do is all based on bringing "goodness"
consistent with principles of Christianity. From an economical perspective, the cost of bringing the
cure would be several times greater, if it were not for the motivation and willingness of the Christian
communities to take the herb free to the poor. Very importantly, this distribution will bypass the
politics, greed and corruption that is so often hinders humanitarian efforts.
Why not continue in the status quo?
The great numbers suffering from Malaria are a multi-billion dollar windfall to politicians,
pharmaceutical companies and health organizations. Given enormous funding, the promised roll-backs
of the diseases HIV and Malaria in the last decade have been failures of gigantic proportion; actually
these diseases have greatly increased.
$10 nets (verses a $1 cure) offer a child a few hours of decreased exposure, but do nothing
to stop the fever spike of Malaria that often kills a child or leaves permanent damage. Under the current
system, the poor have no hope, and 3,000 children continue to die each day.
If this simple solution is known, why is it not already in use?
Defending the status quo, the World Health Organizations says that the mosquito might become
immuned to the simple herbal cure, while disregarding 1,600 years of continuous successful use by
millions of people. (Those who rely on herbal remedies are usually poor and cannot pay hundreds
of thousands of dollars to doctors to speak in defense of this simple solution.) African politicians
have no way of making money from an actual cure; they thrive from the promotion of illness. The
response of the first 5 health officials of Africa that I spoke to about bringing this cure all said,
"How can we make money from this?"
What are your qualifications to lead this endeavor of healing Malaria in Africa?
A destiny started calling me to African when I was only a child on a farm in Tennessee. Since,
that time I spent more than 50 years unknowingly preparing for this work, beginning in the tobacco fields
learning to care for a crop that would be remarkable similar to the one that would heal malaria. Years of
high tech engineering experience with projects such as the Saturn / Apollo and computers to manage WWIII,
taught me the diligence and to seek the knowledge of the experts in each specific application. Years of
working with herbal remedies, taught me to respect simple solutions to health problems. A decade of prison
ministry gave me a heart for all people. Foremost, the last 6 years among the primitive Maasai Tribe
(consider unreachable) substantiates both my commitment and ability to work successfully at the third
world level.
Moreover, I have been blessed to joined with people of great integrity and talent to add depth
and capability to African Restoration. Director Debblie Lason, international architect specializing in
health care, has a great heart for the sick and a mind attuned to alternative health programs: she is an
expert in connectivity of people. Director Wayne Hamit, president of Mountain Movers, has been a leader
in establishing successful humanitarian projects throughout the world.
We have the full cooperation of the Office of the President of Uganda. The First Lady, Janet
Museveni, is being of great help bringing her country this cure for Malaria, and will be a significant part
of in establishing sustainable programs throughout Sub-Saharan Africa.
And so goes on the list of dozens of wonderful dedicated, key people who have not asked anything
for themselves, but seek to bring forth this healing.
What do you want?
First of all let me tell you that I do not want to own things or control people. I want
the financial means to empower our team to bring healing to 300 million acutely sick and to present the
Gospel to 500 million Africans. It will not require even 1% of what has already been wasted.
